Every day, a new tool launches with promises to create images, videos, code, strategies, or entire business plans. Depending on the article you read, AI will either replace every job or free us to do more meaningful work.

It’s exciting — but also exhausting. Just as you start to learn one tool, another trend claims the spotlight or predicts an AI bust. It can feel impossible to keep up.

Why I started Critical Business Skills

I created this site and course because I see how easy it is to feel overwhelmed and left behind.
Advice like “learn 20 tools in 30 days” only adds pressure. And much of the language around AI — algorithms, training data, machine learning, prompt engineering — assumes we’re already fluent in tech speak.

But you don’t need a computer science degree to use AI effectively.
You need clarity, curiosity, and critical thinking.

My perspective on AI learning

AI is powerful, but it still depends on us. Behind every impressive output is a simple process of giving instructions — describing what we want the tool to do, what to avoid, and how to shape the result.
